Meet the Management Team

All our staff are fully vetted, they are then subject to a full skills audit and training is provided to meet the requirements of the work. Furthermore, all SEA employees have BSL skills. Above all, the SEA have a passion for providing great quality care.

Hayley Thornton

Director

My name is Hayley Thornton, I work as Head Of Operations for SEA and I am a registered, qualified manager.

My first real job was a support worker, working with Deaf people with additional needs, based in Manchester. During this period I achieved many professional certificates to meet with the standards of CQC. I am natively Deaf with my preferred language SSE, however I do hold formal qualifications in BSL (level 3).

I have already achieved one of my main employment aims, working with the Deaf community. Working with SEA I will achieve the second part of a lifelong dream, improving access and mainstreaming services for the Deaf community. This will be achieved through the expansion of SEA’s services and making it a national service.
Suzanne Robinson

Director

Suzanne is co-director of SEA Recruitment Services with Hayley Thornton. She set up the company in 2009 having seen a gap in services for deaf people whilst working for Local Authorities as a Social Worker with deaf people and as a team leader. Suzanne is passionate about providing good quality services and is currently Registered Manager with the company responsible for Business Development, Human Resources, Accounts, wages and the Quality Monitoring of services.

In addition to running the company Suzanne also prepares independent social work parenting assessments and reports for Local Authorities, the courts or one or more respective parties involved in care proceedings. These instructions are nationwide. She is able to assess Deaf people without the need for an interpreter and is fully trained and have undertaken numerous assessments of parents who have a learning disability using the Sue McGaw Parent Assessment Manual (PAMS). Suzanne is also registered, qualified sign language interpreter, works in community and legal settings as an interpreter.
