Person-centred Care at SEA

Person-centred care
A way of thinking and doing things that sees the people using health and social services as equal partners in planning, developing and monitoring care to make sure it meets their needs.
Person-centred care is about considering people’s desires, values, family situations, social circumstances and lifestyles; seeing the person as an individual, and working together to develop appropriate solutions. At SEA we care for our clients beyond their condition and tailor the service to suit their individual wants and needs. We respect that all of our clients have their own views on what’s best for themselves, and have their own values and priorities in life.
Person-centred cares improves the quality of care
- Improve the experience people have of care and help them feel more satisfied

- Encourage people to be more involved in decisions about their care. Therefore, they get services and support that are more appropriate for their needs
